All About Miss Becker
I am so excited to help a new set of learners soar into a great year of learning in kindergarten! I graduated with a dual Bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. This summer, I graduated with a Master's in teacher leadership from Walden University. As a graduate of Loudoun County Public Schools, I was very happy to return to Virginia to teach 2nd grade for the past three years. This will be my first year at Discovery Elementary and I am so excited to work with such a fabulous team!
I am very passionate about helping my students develop a love of learning! In the classroom, I focus on building a community of learners who work hard to do their very best each day. As a kindergarten team, we work to develop foundational skills, independence, and creativity in each student. I greatly enjoy spending time each day working with my students to help them reach their potential!
I can't wait to see each student grow as readers, writers, and problem solvers throughout the year!
