Sailing into our 9th Week!
Week of October 24th
Room 22
This week students will begin to brainstorm ideas to help make our school a better habitat for local forest animals. Be on the lookout for our fabulous final projects!
Parent-teacher conferences start this week. Each conference will be held in the classroom (room 22). This is a great time for me to highlight all of the great work I have seen your child do over the past few weeks and I am very eager to get the chance to talk with each one of you! With that in mind, please arrive on time for your scheduled conference so we can be respectful of the time of others.
*Book Fair Reminders* The book fair is here! Our class will be previewing the book fair on Monday. Students may buy books starting Tuesday, October 25th. You can also visit the book fair after school at family night on October 25th from 5-7 pm.
Ways to extend learning at home:
*Ask your child to round a two digit number to the nearest 10s place (ex: 35 rounds up to 40, but 21 rounds down to 20)
*Have your child identify 4 events that happen in the story and retell them in sequential order *Ask your child to explain how habitats can change (like when a forest changes due to fires)
Looking Ahead
